Call of Duty 4 Double Event Rules
Posted on: November 27, 2009 - 8 comments Labels: Tournaments and Events

Event 1: Free-for-all Tournament | Date: 26th Dec '09 DATE CHANGED | Map: Winter Crash | Tournament Type: Winner Stays

Players compete in the FFA event in groups of four (players pick lots to see who goes first), and for every match won, they rack up prize money of 50/-.

Registration fee is a mere Rs.100/- for this event -- that is if you don't register for the team event on Christmas Day, in which case it's just 50 bucks for your first attempt. Yeah, that's right, first attempt. You can register how many ever times you like and seek vengeance for a previous defeat.

There's also a bonus for the player with the highest winning streak -- he (or an unlikely "she") gets a 10-day unlimited pass to game at Blur on PC and consoles.

Event 2: Team Event (5 v 5) | Date: 25th Dec '09 | Mods: ModWarfare | Maps: Strike, District, Broadcast, Ambush | Gametype: Sabotage, Search & Destroy | Tournament Type: Knockout

Firstly, there will be a knife round in showdown -- the winning clan will be able to pick map and gametype, but there's a catch. Sabotage can only be chosen ONCE throughout the tournament and each map can only be picked TWICE. There is no limit to the number of times S&D can be used.

In Sabotage, if there are THREE draws, all subsequent drawn rounds will be decided via a knife-round in Showdown. The "no-camping" rule has been done away with because of its inherent ambiguity and debatable interpretation.

The Finals will be a best-of-three event. The clan which wins the knife-round will choose all three maps and gametypes. Sabotage cannot be chosen if chosen during the course of the tournament, but the maps can be picked even if chosen twice during previous rounds.

All clan members of registered clans receive 3 hours of FREE practice time at Blur, which can be redeemed on weekdays. So you can either choose to use this time to practice your Oldschool FFA skills, play as a team, or get used to the environment. We trust you all will use this time wisely.

Detailed game settings, selectable weapons and perks are available for your benefit below

.

Registration Fees are 1,250 for a clan of five. Cash prizes for the winners. Clan members of the second placed team will each get a 10-day unlimited pass. There might be some other prizes, but nothing is confirmed as of now. See you guys at the Tourny.
